I was up at Hodge road on Friday with my step son (i'm actually only 5 years older than him ). Thursday i co-signed for him a new Raptor 660 so of course we had to go riding! It was a little wet but not as bad as we thought it might be. We were having a good time until he got out of shape going over a small burm and ended up flipping it!! The bike was fine......unfortunately he wasn't! He fractured a small bone in his leg and damaged his cruciate ligaments. Also his ribs are "tender". He'll be fine but we're both bummed 'cos he won't be going riding for a while. He's pretty much my only riding buddy too so i need to make new friends . If anybody is available to ride the Stoddard Valley area on Thursdays/Fridays (these are my days off) and would like to hook up for a ride, then give me a holler. I ride a Rincon and am not too crazy......only had it about 6 weeks so i'm still a bit of a newb! I'm a mellow 35 year old English guy.

Tomorrow, I think I'm going to tinker around in the garage I actually have enough room to do that nowsee how the winch looks and maybe try and fabricate a holder for my gps. I know I can, I know I canWith all the talk about gps' now, I want to mount mine. Wait a minute, that didn't sound right
You mount things often?
I can't/won't post what I would like too

I spent a little time in the garage, (had to fix the lawn mower) anyways, I made the bracket for the winch. I'll post pictures soon. Need to get a hawse cable guide to finish the fabrication stages

I'm leaving for Glamis on Thursday afternoon. My DS is Red and my flag is not hard to spot
It's my first time there so I'll be putting around trying to get familiar with the area. I'll be using a GPS for marking way-points for my return trip.....

See ya there....

It's gonna be a muddy mess...you know you won't be there. Don't like to get the trailer queen muddy. And I'll have the video ready. LOL

Scoundrel:

Sounds like some technical riding.... If you go riding and the protection you need is made by DuPont and has a little registered trademark after it, maybe that's not the best place to go riding. LOL

Well it most likely will be raining so worst case we will have to sit in the Toy-box, play cards and drink beer.
Anything beats being at work.....

We're heading to Jawbone. First time there for us. How close is it to Stoddard Valley?

Most often we ride over at Pismo, as the wife has no problem with us going off to ride there. She loves the beach!

Anyway, we've convinced her to give it a try down in the desert. Do you know how the rains will affect Jawbone?

Heading out on Friday . . . hoping for the weather to clear up regardless!
