Is there something going on that weekend MWQ? Like an enduro or just going to camp/ride? Maybe I'll drive out that way.

Thursday night report from Jawbone Canyon....RAIN LIKE HELL...

I'd rather ride in the rain and mud on a Quad than on a two wheeler!

Brother Mo will be roostin the crap outa the KTM boys this weekend! It'll be OK, they wear goggles.....

Brother Mo was heading down to Gorman, and at 2pm he said it looked ugly, and rerouted to Jawbone to meet the KTM boys!

Oh yeah, Brother Mo rides a team green KFX700!

The enduro is the next weekend but they dont stage at the public area. that club holds the quicksilver national and owns there own property in the area. We are just going to camp/ride/hang out. it will be the wife, son (17) and I, other son (19) and his new wife, married 1-15. Pretty much all ride, new wife 3x on mini trail, pretty cool.

Hi BUDDXXX, I was just wondering if you knew why these KTM boys, would waste their time riding where a KFX700! would even fit? The trails I ride most, would barely have room for one of its tires. MWQ

Thanks RD, That is a bummer, I have ridden there in absolute hurricane conditions before. One year , '87 I believe it had been raining for about 3 weeks and the quicksilver national was sent out. If I remember right the guy who won the C class was the first guy to make it to the 2nd check point. For the AA and A's the race went on as usual. It was a blast, 108 miles, about 10 of it quad friendly. I rode my CR500 in the Open A class. Only about half of the A riders even finished, I was proudly one of them. Hope you dont mind my remenessing just miss the good old days, before all my green sticker money did was buy fences.

Ever been to Fouts Spring's? It is just past stonyford, I 5 north to maxwell, just past 20, head west. I have always thought it would be perfect for quads, very wide open trails. Some single track, always thought that is where dirt bikes belong, not much though. imo they hold the easiest enduro of the year there.

Just called the ph#, listened to the message. Cant believe they will cancel the National Enduro there if there is to much rain. That is just un american, and very sad for me. This is a Asbestos Laden Waste Land, why I only ride there when its wet. What are they protecting the land for? The enduro clubs are the ones who have to maintain the trails for All users any way. Just one more reason for me to leave this Environmentally Wacked Out state. And I did not need any more.

I hear ya Proraptor . . . We're going through withdrawls here too. Looks like we're giving up any plans to go out this weekend due to the rain. The news said it's supposed to continue on and off all weekend - DARN! I wouldn't mind being stranded inside our RV with my husband if it starts raining while we're out riding, but with a bored 13 year old and two wet dogs as well . . . no thanks!

Looks like it's gonna be one boring @$$ weekend.
