New To ATVing Michigan
#1
I'm new to the atv scene. I bought my atv to keep my driveway clean in the winter and wow! what fun. Now I want to do more riding. I'm kind of limited to where I can ride because I live in a sub division. There are a few trails across the road from my house but I'm afraid to ride them too much because of laws. I've read the DNR's regulations and it looks like we're pretty much limited to where we can ride. Anyone know of any trails around southwestern lower Michigan where we can ride?

Or go to www.miatvassoc.com and click on the guy rider. Then click "TRAIL TALK". You'll have to log in as a guest but you can post there and talk to others that ride in Michigan. Hope you will become a member of the club if you decide you really have the bug. If not, no worry. You can still ride with us when you like.

CT330..........that link didnt work. Is that url messed up?
Anyway, im in the GR area. Always looking for places to ride...without traveling up north or what ever.
Ct, how long you been in MI? Do you ride MX? There are a few sweet tracks in my area.
Anyone have any good riding areas in GR area? I like riding trails, pits, hills...what ever.
I have a 300 4x4 and a 250R, so i can go about anywhere on a quad....as long as the land
owner's 12 is not really loaded. HAAAAAAAAAAAA jk....i dont tresspass on property unless
i know the owners.
I actually live in Grattan, on the NE side.
Hey, no wonder my quads are dumptrucks. I need more stickers! 8-)

Dens, don't start off on the wrong foot by riding in areas considered "not legal". As ATVers, we have a hard enough time trying to keep the trails open, we have in Michigan. There's a lot of people working to make sure you have trails to ride when you and family decide to do so. Those that complain about you riding in areas not designated to be trails, cause most of our problems but not without reason. Too often, owners ride where they shouldn't be, usually near home where there is no trail but we feel comfortable riding around home. Be it the urban area or the farm, neighbors are disturbed by riders, who continue to use streets or property not intended for ATV use. If you become one of them, you become a part of the problem. If you become a rider that like to ride often on the trails, have fun, hope to see you on the trails.
