Default RAPTOR CUTTING OUT AND BACKFIRING WHEN RIDING UPHILL

when riding on an incline at around 1/4 - 1/2 throttle, my raptor seems like it loads up and backfires and cuts out. This is a new problem that just arose the other day. Could it be the floats? when i give full throttle, it clears up. It only happens when riding uphill. Suggestions???????

You may have some crud in your carbs causing the float to stick or the needle valve not to seal.

when in doubt, adjust the valves! it's easy.

low fuel level, crap in the bowls, could be many small things. but it never hurts to adjust the valves. you can drop your bowls easily after you strip off the plastic for the valve adjust.. ya may as qwell do it all at once, eh?

Well mine did the same exact thing especially at higher altitude than sea level and it was the jetting. I took it to the beach and it ran fine, went back to RedRock canyon same cutting out. Found out after swapping all the parts I could found out it was in the carb. Was way to rich. Leaned it up a bit from where Dyno Jet recommended and it stopped. Just an FYI.

Well I just adjusted the valves and increased main dynojets from 148/150 to 150/155, since i believe i was a little lean. It seemed to help (maybe) but it still seems to be loading up and not quite running like it did. Its also idling a little rougher now and popping when decelerating in low rpms. I have my needle on the 4th notch and 3.5 and 4 turns on the air screws, 25 pilots. Could it be my floats, and if so, are they hard to check? I read sixsixt's post on the clear tubing. I was a little confused on where the carbs mate?

The mating surface is where the bowl and the carb body meet. Top of the bowl when it's right side up.
