anyone using this set up on a 01 raptor?can you use the stock chain?

what would you use that gearing for?.......that seems very low!

 

i would be using it for hill climbing in the dunes.how well does it work?

 

that's what i want to use,i would just go with the 12 tooth in front if you are stock,it makes a big diffrence..

 

12/42 works great for technical hill climbing in the East on a 2001 Raptor.

12/42 on an 01 Raptor is a great setup. Thats what my blue Raptor uses and it hauls my fat azz up Dumonts comp hill at a decent click in 3rd gear.

 

My 01 has a 02 gearset and I'm gonna try a 12/42 with my 20 inch haulers Launching in 2'nd and pulling up a sand hill in 4th. It should work because I can pull a 14/42 in third and out of the hole should be a lot better with the lower set up and taking off in 2nd.
