Well, the CDI you gain RPMs before the rev limiter kicks in. i.e. my quad hits the top end limiter.....in other words my top end is limited by the stock CDI, the aftemarket CDI increases the rpm range by 1000, before the limiter kicks in. It also, I believe, plays with the timing curve.

The package for all 3 parts runs around $270.00

SilverBear,
Is it worth puting them on without doing pipe and airbox mods? Also, do you ride with anyone that has the HMF QS1. I was wondering how quiet it is and what the power gain is.

I would say no, and even with just a pipe/air kit mod, I'm not sure it would be worth it, unless you're somehow hitting that top limiter on a regular basis. Before I did my engine mods, I wouldn't have thought about needing it because it just took too long to hit the top limiter.

To be fair though...I will though the CDI on my wife's stock grizzly and see if there's any noticable difference, but I sincerely doubt it.

As to the HMF QS1, I don't know anyone with it, so I can't tell you. But, I am leaning strongly towards picking that pipe up for my wife. She would shoot me if I made her quad loud, so the regular pipe is definately out of the question for her quad.
