Default many problems

My raptor does the same thing when I cold start it. Personally, I am not a big fan of running the bike cold, or on choke. I tend to turn the idle up a half turn when I start it cold. That way, I don't have to use as much choke. Once the bike is warm, I turn the idle back down. It helps prevent fouling plugs too.

Default many problems

i just had the same problem 2 days ago with my 04 raptor 660, i just changed ther plug but it was early in the morning and about 45 degrees outside. i ended up getting it started and later that day i adjusted the idle on the bike. made it idle up a little bit. it seems to have fixed the problem, but the bike ist still cold natured in my book compared to the warrior i used to have or the bear tracker, i guess the bigger the motor the longer it takes to start them and warm up.

Be carefull messing with the idle adjustment expecially with the 01 Raptor. The Raptor is supposed to idle pretty high. When you turn it down you risk stalling the motor and having it kick back and destroying your starter one way gear.

Put in a new spark plug, more than likley you have fouled it out. I highly suggest switching to a platinum spark plug. They cost more but I never had a problem with fouling plugs after I switched.

well i have an 03 yahama raptor and i dont have any problems with it doing any of that. mine only starts with the choke on when its cold but in the summer i dont have to use it. maybe you should have that clutch checked out cause when mine when out it was doing that same thing when i tried to put it in gear.
