Update on Warrior acc. problem
#1
OK, I tried taking the carb a part and cleaning it, along with the acclerator pump. Everything seems to be in good working order. I've tried all the eleterical ideas and everything seems perfect.
But yet the Warrior still dies when you punch the throttle. Tommorrw I'll be picking up two larger (43 & 43.5)pilot jets to give that a try.
I talked to the Yamaha dealer and they say that the problem is common to all 4 strokes, yet all the Honda's don't do it.
Once the revs are up, you can punch the throttle no problem. Just when its idling and you hit it.
Any ideas?

Okay, here's your likely problem. The accelerator pump is not contacting the arm that actuates it. Pull the plastic cover off and look at it when you open up the throttle it takes a bit of travel to engage the pump shaft. If you lengthen the shaft by putting a cap (made from the screw on/off piece on the top of a spark plug where the wire contacts find a small screw to insert partly to fill the hole or it will slide over the shaft.) This will effectively lengthen the shaft making your accelerator pump work far more efficiently. I did this to my Warrior and the hesitation disappeared. Simply the accelerator pump shaft isnt as long as it should be. Just look and see for yourself.
