once i get a tow and get it started it has no throttle response for about 1 or 2 seconds like its either loading on gas or sucking air i checked the carb boot even bent and twisted it to see if it has cracks and its good i know the floats are good cause i pulled them off of my 91 carb i referenced the part number and they was the same because originally the pump "rod" that goes from the top of the carb to the bowl broke and the 91 never had any carb problems But the 91 warrior was bored 20 over and to my knowledge the 96 is stock except for the cobra pipe on it
when i first changed the stator cause the pulse coil was bad it fired up for a couple seconds and shut off and now it has to be pull started to fire
i know its not good but i even put some starting fluid in the airbox and no go pulled the plug a lil spray in the cylinder no dice
its acting like somehow its out of time but to explain it running gas out of the over flow even when its off has nothing to do with the timing so any help u can offer would be greatly appreciated

yea thats the accelerator pump plunger...hmm does it move freely? and does it have the spring on it that goes down into thew bowl, along with the rubber boot that covers the top of it? you can pull the black cover off to see the boot and see if it moves freely

the pump moves freely and yea the gas goes straight out the bowl just like if id crack the screw if there was air in the lines
i always though if i was getting more gas than i was supossed to it would make the quad run hotter
