Default 02 Warrior front end wobbles at speed

I just noticed a wobble in my front end when driving at higher speeds and especially noticeable when on flat ground/street. The handlebars wobble like one of my front wheels are bent or crooked... like they're turning left, right, left, right a little bit. I haven't rolled or crashed it and can't think of anything I did that would have bent something in the front end.

How can I troubleshoot what's causing this?

Thanks in advance,

Adjusted my toe-in and it seems much better. The front of my tires were about 1/4" wider than back of tires. I adjusted it to 1/2" wider in the back than front and the wobble is mostly gone. The only other thing I did was jumped from 2lbs in front tires to 3.5.

Toe-in should only be about 1/8". Your tie rod ends are probably worn out. Better have them checked before they break out on the trail and then you have no way to steer it home!

Is that a generic spec or are you thinking it's something Warrior specific? I used a 97 Warrior service manual and it showed .67" - 1.06" as the proper spec. I looked back at the notes I wrote down on this and actually set mine at .75" to be mid-spec.

That's a generic spec that I have used on every 4 wheeler I've ever owned, including 3 Warriors, a Raptor 350, and a Raptor 660, and I never had any wobbles. I would definately go with the manual, but I still question your wobbling issue. Warriors are notorious for having worn out ball joints, tie rod ends, a-arm bushings, and front wheel bearings.

Have you checked for freeplay in the upper a-arm bushings? All Yamaha sport ATVs are proine to that squirelly handling you describe when they wear out. Something to check for if you haven't already.
