i am interested in one of these new bigblocks and was wondering if the grizz would outrun the twin ?anyone with a new 660 grizz race a 650 kaw??

 

I own the grizzly, i would recommend the grizz, It has independant rear which gives it about 4 more inches of ground clearance, not to mention side by side the grizzly just looks bad@$$. ATV4 wheel action did a test against both, both machines were equal even though they picked the kawi overall, i still say the griz

 

If you like puttin along and riding comfortable then buy the grizz. If you want an awesome riding sport feeling machine that can take anything you dish out then buy the Prairie

 

At the end of all this, look down and see who owns what, and then see what they said. It will fall into place pretty much the same as the last two answers. That and with a lot of crap from magazines and any bad reliability issues that have ever been brought up about either quad. I own one of the two aforementioned so I'm not saying anything other than to ride them and buy the one that you like the best.

Off the record, the yamaha guy forgot to mention that the kawasaki won all the drags in the magazine test, and the joker with the 650 obviously has never ridden in the rocks that much.

After some more thought, forget it. Go get a Sportsman 700.

 

The way I see it, there are 4 big bore 4x4's to choose from. Each one is very different and that's good because each person can choose which one fits his/her style best. Everyone can keep arguing which is the best one but we'll get no where.

I personally don't ride on rocks. I like to ride trails fast and I absolutely hate torn cv boots. I ride in mud, but rarely do I get stuck with a straight axle quad. I even enjoy the looks on peoples faces when I drag race sport quads and beat them. I own a Prairie 650 and think it is the best 4x4 FOR ME.

Others own quests, 660's or 700's and they are probably the best bikes for them.

 

Obviously You've never ridden a Prairie. Actually I'm a honda fan. I'm just waiting for the rincon. I have a lot of things I don't like about the prairie mainly a bunch of nitpickin problems. i did tear the right front axle out of it the other day. Whatz up with dat! I was just playin with the yamaha boys trying to get a rise out of them. Happy trails

 

Rincon looks good. I would be hard pressed to lose a Prairie 650 over one though, basically on account of the rear brakes and locker. Still, its going to be very very competitive, as Honda has no problem selling quads. Ever notice that they are the only one that doesn't offer some accessory promo? Just financing or a factory to dealer incentive. They don't need to. They sell anyway.

Yeah, the engine braking thing on automatics seems to be pretty much covered nowdays. I was really concerned about that until I bought mine. I don't see either one having any problems in that area.
