Default Sprokets gearing ratio

Ok I have a couple of questions for Raptor Experts. First how big of rear sporcket can I put on without gettiing bigger chain. Second is anyone useing the sidewinders titanium sprokets. I want to make it a little more trial friendly. If I go to a 44 in rear I drop 2 mph on first and 5 mph in fifth that is estimate at 6500 rpm. But this should let me run at lower r's when riding with some of the other 4x4 and smaller sport machines I ride with that ride slower on the trail. Because I either winding second or ******* third. Not like you can dog this power house. Well thanks for any info I get. Also good riding to all.

it would be a whole lot easier to just change the front to a 12 tooth

Who buys a raptor to riding with a four bys? are you an old guy that is having a midlife crisis?
Yes the gear down will help a lot with the trail riding, it will let you use more gears. you shouldnt lose a lot on top end being a heavy piston four stroke cant wind out any how. the gear down might help maintain a top speed.

I've heard good things about Sidewinder and it seems the Raptor is pretty tough on Sprockets. I hope the Ti series sprockets and chain are good because last week I ordered them. If ya decide on Sidewinder, make sure ya call them direct and do some wheelin-n-dealin. Phil (I think) dropped the price a lot to make a sale. They are certainly not cheap but they are supposed to last. There is a good ratio chart on their site.

GENTLEMEN,
THE Ti-MOLY SPROCKETS are the best...i race a complete season on them, and the rear spocket is perfect, the chain is in great condition and the front sprocket is showing wear but i could prolly put another 5-7 races on it before "I" would deem it time to replaced. I highly recommend these sprockets and chain. sidewinder in my opinion is the best for high horse power machines. check out my signature and you will understand why i choose sidewinder.....and you are correct....they look totally trick..........
herbdon out........
