Ive never had a problem in the cold(16 degrees here today) with either of my yamoto's starting in cold weather, they both fire right up and idle high till the choke warms up then they idle normally.Contact patriot motorcycles and tell them the problem, they'll probably ship you a new carb.I had a couple warrany issues in the past and they handled them quickly. Have you tried adjusting the idle by turning the cable spreader in the middle of the throttle cable,I constantly have to adjust these to keep them ideling where i want them.

I would definately tell anyone that these are made for 7-10 year kids(maybe even small 11trs old), not adults, unless it is for an older adult looking to just putter around with the kids. they are comparable to a little kids 90cc 2 stroke in speed, although more grunt in the power department(4 stroke).
they work great for the price(i paid about 1200 to nearest ship terminal). 2-3 yrs on this for the youngster and they would be ready for a normal size atv (blaster, trailblazer...)
just my2cents

I agree,I have a 12 year old daughter on 1 and a 7 year old son on the other.Luckily my daughter dosent ride like my son or she would have crapped her's out already. The boy rips on it everyday and so far its been holding up pretty well with only minor problems.I have the throttle screw turned in to only allow about 1 quarter throttle but thats fast enough for now.

OK, I just got home from the Honda dealer. I got a 2005 Sportrax 250 for me at a better deal than most of the used ones I've seen. They must need the numbers for the end of the month. Now I need a trailer, and some space in the garage.

Has anyone had to replace the head lamp bulbs? I am having a hard time finding a replacement bulb. I guess I could order it from Yamoto but would like to find one locally if possible.

I put clear silicone gasket goo around the headlight lens to prevent water and dirt from getting into the light and causing the bulb to pop or burn out, and the put di-electric grease on all the electrical connector to prevent corrosion and keep out water. This is just something I do. It is a good Idea for all Yamoto owners to do also.
