Default Engine I.D.

Thanks for your reply, I'm more in the dark about posting picture's than I am about this engine, but I can tell you it's a 4 stroke overhead cam, 2 valve, air cooled single, and could be anything from 125cc to 200cc in size. gears, forwards, neutral, and reverse are selected on the right hand side of the atv as you sit on it, transmission between engine and gearbox is by belt and pulleys, gearbox to rear axle is by chain. Twin drum front brakes, hydraulic disc on the rear. hope this helps and thanks for any help.

I don't know anything about Kymco, but your description sounds a lot like a GY6 engine. They are typically 150cc but can be other sizes too. Do a google search for GY6 engines and compare your engine to that. Look for the plastic shroud that covers the cylinder cooling fins.

Hi, thanks for the input, it's definitely not an GY 6 engine, no plastic shroud or fan.

Cracked it!, it's a Kymco MXU or MXER 150cc model no. LLB1-900 approx 2004 to 2005, all I need now is a new starter motor
