Engine I.D. help required

Hi Folks, new here, need some help identifying the engine in a Kymco atv, on the side of the crankcase by the oil drain plug is this number;- LA 30 underneath that is the production number, so, what is the LA 30 engine??
and where can I find information about it?, any help much appreciated.

can ya get a pic of the engine? cuz my number is near the shift lever on the left side of the atv (while sitting on it). an d i think most chinese engines utilize the cg engines but i could be wrong.

Thanks for your reply, I'm more in the dark about posting picture's than I am about this engine,
but I can tell you it's a 4 stroke overhead cam, 2 valve, air cooled single, and could be anything from 125cc to 200cc in size. gears, forwards, neutral, and reverse are selected on the right hand side of the atv as you sit on it, transmission between engine and gearbox is by belt and pulleys, gearbox to rear axle is by chain. Twin drum front brakes, hydraulic disc on the rear. hope this helps and thanks for any help.

I don't know anything about Kymco, but your description sounds a lot like a GY6 engine. They are typically 150cc but can be other sizes too. Do a google search for GY6 engines and compare your engine to that. Look for the plastic shroud that covers the cylinder cooling fins.
