well, it sounds like you got a game plan. remember, some chinese parts will interchange between "brands". it's just a matter of comparing parts. i'll holler back....

I am have a similar issue, my 110 lifan will not start. It was running fine then my daughter turned the key off while driving it. After that, when I try and start it, it does nothing. If you put the charger on it and press the start button, it will sound like a someone is welding from the solinoide. I replaced the solinoide, and same thing. help!!!!!!

Chargers don't produce enough current to run a starter motor all by itself. Neither can they produce any current at all when the 60 hertz mains voltage is transitioning through zero. So if your battery is completely dead you will get nothing when you try to start your quad. When you hook up a charger your quad will sort of try to start, but the solenoid will buzz at 120 times per second - one for each of the two zero crossings of the 60 times per second mains voltage. But the starter still will not turn.

Better Plan: Jump your quad battery to your car battery using jumper cables. Just take *extra* care to get the polarity right when doing this . Does the starter motor turn now? If so it sounds like you have a completely dead battery. And don't forget - when you change the battery you must check the charging system with a meter to see if it is working correctly. Else your new battery will gradually go dead too, and get ruined. We can tackle that procedure later, but first let's get the starter motor turning... .
