Default Lectron 46 HELP

if I remember right. you can go as low as 400 grit on the slide. and its only necessary to polish the side that faces the engine.

You only NEED 400 grit, but you can go as high as you want. If you want to make it shine that wont hurt, perhaps it will help more - I'm not sure I'm thinking of trying to polish mine but have not yet. I sanded both sides and even gently on the edges to make sure everything was smooth. Once you get the sanding all done the next step is to adjust the idle & air / fuel mixture screw. I'm not sure the slide will be a night and day difference, but adjusting the carburetor right will be!

the factory thumb has to be modified to work. twist or moose billet thumb will work. I have a twist on mine right now. if I like. the moose and cable will be for sale. up and down with that fine of sand paper will be fine.

Jim,

As you can probably tell, Moose is a brand name. If we throw some lingo at you that you aren't sure about be sure and ask, sometimes we get so used to the lingo we forget that there might be people who don't know all of the brands etc.

It really figures that NOW - after I already bought my Billet Thumb Throttle that Moose has the Blue one. Oh well, I think all in all the natural aluminum would have been my second choice and it gives me the option to polish it at some point if I ever want to.

Iwas giving a YFZ450 a good run until my thumb fatigued.

Blackhawk where did you get your cable from? I can order it from Terry Cable but its about 2 weeks to get here.

The thing is tomorrow I'm going to anothe track.
If it is stiff everywhere, it is the cable, cable routing, or throttle. If it is stiff off of idle, then it's carb adjustment.
Just call mr hp. He'll get you the EXACT cable you need for your setup (and they're in stock).
