I doubt that guy is going to look in this thread for help on his problem. I read every word you wrote.

 

I would just like to ad, Harbor Freight winches are good. A extra 10 dollars and 2 years free replacement warranty. (no questions asked) I know, I burned up my first one. This one is much better, Pulled me out of the toughest stuff. First one was week. I tried several things to get rid of that controller and finally did it. Got on Superwinch Web site superwinch.com called the lady and told her I had a superwinch 2000 needed the handlebar upgrade kit. 75$ and came with small handlebar switch, plus a upgrade kit, Turned in into a 2500#.

btw.. i got a question with them harbor freight winches..
will a warn or ramsey mount work that i can get on ebay or soemthing?
or does it really need a custom mount to be frabricated..

 

should work fine johonny, you may need need to drill different holes for the winch though, this should work but i can't guarantee it

I got my winch plate at hondapartsworld.com it has several holes for the winch, and it came with the roller fairlead. It fit the rancher perfect. And the winch fit real nice.
