Well said LT80!
No matter what she gets her kid he or she will love and ride the hell out of it.
Sheeps and goats...that is some funny a$$ stuff!
each quad is proven in it's own way and she will have to take all of the useful info she got and make the choice for her lil' one.
it is tough with all the choices...but it will be worth it in the long run.

Hey Jack, Shame on you! You came thru town and didn't stop and visit. I think you came thru the coldest day of the year for us. BTW, East Texans don't consider El Paso part of Texas.

iceman, I surely did think of you and your family when passing thru! If I would have known about that ice storm, I would have looked you up for sure! I was on a Mardi-gras mission when I blew thru El Paso
Good to hear from you!

Ok guys, back to "Mommy4wheel's" question!!
Mommy4wheel,
I chose an Eton 90cc for my 6 yr. old daughter based upon good info. I have gleaned from many forums. BUT, you must make sure that your son FITS on the one you chose! If his feet don't sit flat on the floorboards, it is too big and he will fall off on the first turn. You need to get a measurement of his required seat hight and compare that to the specs. of the various kid quads on the market. If he won't fit on the 90cc models, and that's what you get him (planning on him growing into it), he may not have a "fun" experience (read crash) and get turned off to quads altogether (so growing into it wont matter too much any more). Technically speaking, the rider should be able to stand flat-footed on the floorboards and have "some" space between him and the seat so as to help control balance while riding in less than flat terrain.
The point is, at 4 yrs. old (my son will be 4 in april and rides the 12 volt electric quad very well, but he needs to grow a few more inches before I will let him ride the 90cc) the focus should be on riding safely and having fun. If a 50cc is the only thing he fits on right now, it will still last his interest for at least a few years (those things go surprisingly fast).
Good luck on your decision.

Currdog said it perfectly..... I have a monsoon 90 for my almost 5 year old and he is not even close to the right size for it. I will be getting a lt50 or kfx50 for him within a month. I'm not against a Eton (I will look at them).

mommy4wheel just for thought,i bought my little girl a polaris, predator 50 and she is 6 yrs old, best move i ever made.it is made with a low center of gravity so they wont roll, you can make them go faster when they get use to it and best of all the brake levers are made real close to the handle bar so there small hands dont have to reach as far and hard to pull them in.i put a twist throttle on hers and she can ride it alot father and her thumb never hurts. c-ya

LT80 you are right about the bikes the kids are going to love them what ever they ride.if you are worried about resale, you are in the wrong sport we chose a polaris predator 50 only if the bike breaks while we are riding we can find parts close. p.s try to stay away from chinese junk you will regret it
