I checked ohm's today at stator and they were 188.7. I was just wondering if the factory ignition ohm spec is around 185 why is the spec of a pvl different? They told me the pvl spec is between 162-179ohms. Would a factory set-up work on this LT?Do I need a new stator or could this one be fixed?Just trying to get him back in action,Thanks

You'll need a stator, flywheel, flywheel key, and the coil/CDI unit to go back to stock ignition.

What did Penton say about checking the coil?
I'd want to make sure the coil was good also before a purchace.

To be honest I did'nt ask anything about the coil.I had a local shop owner to check it and he told me that it was good,I should have asked how to check it to since I had him on the phone.Jerry at penton said to check ohms between the black/blue wires and if its good its between 162-179 and mine was 188.7 so I just hope thats my problem atleast I would know what to fix so he can get in one some racing action before the seasons over.

Brian, I have no idea on the actuall size of the rollers.
They weigh just about 10 grams.
FYI: there are no aftermarket rollers that fit a LT80.
When we drill them, I push the metal part out and stick them in my lathe.
If you use vice grips/etc, they go egg shaped.

Was just wondering cause I just checked rollers after some rodeo practice and found that the center metal pieces came completely out of the teflon outer shell! Never had that happen before. A friend of mine had offered some rollers that he runs in his Apex just didnt know if they would work, look to be same size.

Not the same size.
You have a heat issue.
Is this the machine with the broken face?

No this is on the machine with your motor. The broken face is on the Grissom.
I changed out the rollers and it done fine saturday at the rodeo.
Would it be easier on the clutch components if I was to lighten 4 or 6 rollers to weigh the same as 3 factory rollers because it runs best with 3 factory rollers?

I tried a factory ignition set-up today and the sputtering stopped. Now the throttle response is sluggish. What would happen if I loosened the stator and adjusted the timing?Would that help the throttle response?
