I don't have a clue what he is talking about here, the ORV Sticker is not tripleing in price any time soon. I can only assume he is again getting his exercise by jumping to conclusions.

Please read pg. 2 here http://www.michigan.gov/documents/No...s_149970_7.pdf and kindly quit misquoting me if you have the intelligence to do so....otherwise kindly get some kind of comprehensive 'reading' help for your obvious problem.

blackballed ..just don't ask me to sacrifice restoration and maintenance dollars/issues for the sake of making sure Mom and Dad in the Escalade have more 'Dom Perignon' on hand come New Years.
TOG:
Another jump... The way the sticker money is divided up is mandated as to how it is spent. We went through this before in this thread. Education money is seperate from Restoration or Maintenace funds.
Again, please don't try and act like these trainers have NOT attempted to change this formula (see above if you can comprehend these meeting minutes any more than your inability to report back to us regarding the last one)....or that TRIPLING the subsidy to ALL parents regardless of need doesn't affect the dollars availiable for a myriad of other programs including enforcement, restoration and maintenance. How laughable is it that this safety task force can come up with tripling the amount of money availiable for those serving on it....while at the same time using many of those same people to shove through 750 miles of additional mileage behind the public's back...with not suggestion one that 'their' increase might be better suited to actually buildand or maintain what they were about to annouce unbeknownst to everybody else!

Again, how stupid do you believe this Michigan orv community to be?

...Nor can anyone else in the general public seeking initial information as to current political issues here in Michigan unless they send in some 'cash' first (which is no differrent than any other major Michigan atv club who unashamedly takes all education on the issues at hand behind the same closed doors.....that is unless you 'bone up' first to find out exactly who you are dealing with or more importantly what that particular group of individuals might actually believe in).

If I was a member of one of these clubs...I'd get somebody else other than 'Muddy' to explain the differences between the public and "super-secret" portions of their forums.(just a suggestion, as he seems more than willing to continually point out that there are constant conversations going on involving those who represent us here in Michigan on orv matters that the 'peon public' has never, and probably never will, be privy to).

Anybody who has not been BANNED from the ATVOFFROAD site is welcome to visit the site. There is ONE section [members only section] that is not veiwable to the general non-paying public. If YOU dont like this, than I suggest that YOU start up your OWN ATV related forum with your own PAYING membership dollars that help keep it running and run the damn thing the way you and your membership want to---------------------------- all two of you!

Yet if you just want to worry about who brings those weenies to that next 'big ride'... or just what the next club t-shirt or bumper stickers are going to look like, fine!

There will be an estimated 200k ORV stickers sold this year to ORV operators. We have less than 3000 total miles of shared ORV trails to use.User's have been crying for YEARS that this is not enough room to ride their ORVs on and the DNR have been bitching for years about folks getting off the designated trails.

Now we have some misguided lame brain coming into this forum and telling us not to accept these EXTRA TRAIL MILES from the DNR until we fix whats on the ground first? ARE YOU CRAZY! And we have the same jerk telling veiwers that this 750 miles is going on BEHIND the publics back! It amazes me that BB can say something as arrogant to THEOTHERGUY about not reading the ORV board minutes and yet come into this forum and tell the same veiwers that folks are 'secret and going behing the publics back'with information thats been KNOWN publically for months now.

This guy never ceases to amaze me. ----------------------------------------------------------------------

blackballedPlease read pg. 2 here href="http://www.michigan.gov/documents/November2005Minutes_149970_7.pdf"><STRONG&gt ;http://www.michigan.gov/documents/No...<STRONG> and kindly quit misquoting me if you have the intelligence to do so....<EM>otherwise</EM> kindly get some kind of comprehensive 'reading' help for your obvious problem.
This is what Blackballed is refering too
[ b] from the November 9 ORV Advisory Board Minutes He reviewed Mr. Ranney’s proposal to increase
the annual ORV license fee from $16.25 to $25.50. The breakdown for the use of the funds would be
as follows: $.50 would be allocated to the license vendor, $3.00 would be allocated to the ORV Safety
Education Fund and the remainder would be allocated per the formula prescribed by the Department.
Read it again Blackballed it says PROPOSAL TO INCREASE it doesn't say that the fee is increasing. now read the last of the statement, it states that the rest would be allocated per the formula and that would only have been if it could have been increased. The fee can not be increased by the Department, it can only be increased by an act of Legislature. What political leader do you know of wants to vote for a tax increase on an election year, especially in our economy.

blackballed ..<EM>just don't ask me to sacrifice restoration and maintenance dollars/issues for the sake of making sure Mom and Dad in the Escalade have more 'Dom Perignon' on hand come New Years</EM>.

See you have that wrong too. It's not the ORV Community that I believe is stupid, only one individual within it.

But what I really find amusing is that nobody seems to be willing to give Blackballed the information he seeks. Even when his friends go into other forums looking for the same answers.

Is'nt Mr. Ranney busyrider and the Chairman Michigan Orv Advisory Board? Is he the one proposing the increase?
Oh I forgot busyrider's computer crashes when he clicks on the reply button.

Why is the orv sticker $ paying for orv user safety training??
I mean atv's, orv's, and motorcycles cost thousands of dollars and these same can not afford to pay for the orv safety taining they need so thier child can ride the trails??

If you all can afford the orv and the vehicles and trailers to haul'em to the trails, then you all can afford to pay for your own safety training courses.

The reason I dont answer your questions in here is because no matter HOW I answer your questions, BB will have some untrue and unfounded assine remark about it,as ALL his past posts do, and im not really in the mood to be dealing with his BS anymore.

If you would go to the ATVOFFROAD.NET forum and seek out your questions in there, im sure that your questions would be answered. It pleases me a great deal that BB cannot see anything that is posted in there and cannot respond either.

As with most forums he was a member of, he use to that!

Why would I bother with the forum you mention in your post??

If you can not answer whatever you want here, then it must be something top secret.
Just like the 200miles of new orv trail each year for next 4 years.
That will take into 2010 for the 25% more trail on ground, unlike what busyrider told us would be on ground by 2008.

IMO why post here if all some of you all do is call other members of this forum names?

So if you all that want atv and orv miles of trail do not start making noise about what trails you do want to the DNR and your state rep's, my guess is you will not like what you end up with.

Now my 2cents about these guys who will attack this post and start the personal attacks against me for posting this; These guys want the "me-only trails" they do not want to share, reread their posts and think about the reasons they say a 55" or 60" trail is not a good idea.
