That only effect people whos riding varies by 5000 ft or more, thats a limited market. West cost mainly.

Looks at "Mongrol" Post and pics all he does is ride the Rocky mountains with a Sportsman 400H.0 without a issue.

Not trying to be disrespectful TLC, but 1/3 of the United states is not a limited market. I don't have any problems with my Hawkeye when riding the trails around here either, but if I ever decided to go rideing somewhere with a much lower altitude, I would need to rejet. The same would go for Mongrol.

I,m sure Mongrol starts his ride at the bottom and rides to the top of the mountain. He does not leave his ATV at the top when he is done riding and walk home, or rejets every so often during his ride.

Are you seriously trying to use that argument? Did you even read what I said? (with a much lower altitude) Also, why are you dead set on rebuking my statement about the benefit of EFI is not having to mess with re jetting? Do you think it isn't a benefit? Are you denying the fact that carbs need to be re jetted beyond a specific change in altitude and EFIs don't??

Jut showing that a carb can mountain ride, I will never know the EFI better altitude changing ability because I live in Norther Ontario Canada where there are no mountains tall enough in the entire Province to prove the matter.

I know carbs can ride mountains, Never said they couldn't... I ride in the mountains quite often. Altitude of Albuquerque is 5000+ ft. Sandia Mountains (as seen in my pics of Albuquerque) 10,000+ft. I'm only trying to point out a benefit to EFI that hadn't been mentioned in the previous posts in this thread.

I bought the 850XP. I was looking at both the 800 and the 850. The 800 does not come with engine braking. It is an add on. I did not like that. I ride all kinds of large hills and need the engine braking because my brakes would be worn out in a month. The XP has an upgraded suspension that is unreal. The steering is very easy on the XP model because of the double A arm front suspension versus the old style on the 800. Both are great machines but if you plan on having it a while and riding a lot, do yourself a favor and get the XP.
