also where would you recommend buying a jet kit from? and do they specify the size according to piston size? cause otherwise i wouldnt know what to get lol.
i'm not sure man. all i can recommend is going up a size on the jets and tune it from there. i'm not much of a carb guy. i usually send mine out to someone who knows Mikuni carbs.

alright well ive got an extra pilot jet so im gonna attempt to drill it on my own and see if it works lol. I did drill my main jet myself so hopefully i have the same success :P just gonna take it one size at a time. lol. you think as the size of the main orifice gets larger the holes on the side of the pilot jet need to get larger as well? hmmmm

you need the kit for the carb not the model of the bike. um, you should have the same carb as me. VM26.

here is the jet kit i bought for my alky carb. it'll work for you too i imagine.

ah thanks but those are all main jets arent they. i need a bigger pilot. anyways im gonna soak my carb real good overnight or something cause now when i pour gas into the cylinder it pops and runs for like 2 sec then dies, so something has to be messed up or clogged somewhere in the carb.

appreciate it bud. I do think i may have found the problem. i read about bikes not starting cause they are getting no suction through the carb, so i took off the back of the carb that goes to the airbox and put my hand over it to feel for suction. well as soon as i did that that bike fired off right away cold! I did notice that it did have suction but it appears that as soon as i put my hand over to create a better vacuum it must have pushed gas into the cylinder for it to fire or something. So what do you think, do i still prolly need a bigger pilot? or is it most likely that the intake boot on the cylinder is messed up or not sealed properly?

I would check the intake boot. I have an extra if it is bad. Also, anyone need a big bore kit for the lt250s. I got my money back on it because it had a little rust in the cylinder, so its probably pitted. The piston, rings, and circlipcs, wrist pin and all that are brand new in the wesico box. The cylinder comes with it but it needs a resleeve. I will sell it cheap because it needs a sleeve. Its the 273cc big bore kit.
