um with the chain and sprocket guard. Your talking about the skid plate right? well if you are, you're in luck. I love my skid plate's. I have a tentancy of going over VERY HARD terrain. It has saved my butt a few times. Once i was at coalhill riding the trails and we were in a group riding the hard trails. I was second from last ( prolly about 5 different machines) and it was about 1am so it was almost pitch black. Well you guys know how it is riding in a group you don't wana slow them down and such. Well i was going a bit fast up a trail and didn't even see the large huge flat rock until I was on top of it. It was so large that it picked my backend off the ground and had me sitting on the skid plate. My rear tires were in the air so i couldn't move. I WAS HUNG UP!!! LOL i was a bit angry and swearhappy and got off my quad, ripped the quad back and went around the large rock, tring to re-catch the group. Which i did. But the moral of the story is i prolly would have broken teeth off rear sprocket, maybe hurt chain and bent my rear brake disk. This is why im in love with my skid plates!
i guess it depends on where you ride. if all you do is tear it up at some sand dunes, i cant see a reason for it. but if you trail ride? id be terrified to go without it. ive had mine put to use many many times including the one under the engine. i dont normally have clearance issues with it, i just dont straddle anything tall.
thats me a few hours ago. i got it all put together and running. OH MY GOD it was not the same bike i tore down 5 months ago. it is totally different and scared the crap out of me the first run around and i was no where close to half throttle. just a quick pull from 2nd to 4th. i didnt even know what to think it was so fast. i cant wait till it gets broke in so i can do some runs with it. anyways, theres pics up in the album. go take a look, it looks as good as it runs.
