Things for you to check-

* rear swing arm play (could be bearings OR the bolt is loose!)
* sprockets! If your chain is toast, then they are too!
* adjust the chain by spinning the axle bearing carrier.

Good luck finding a new cover, they're getting rare.

Does anyone know if the 86 grab bar will fit in an '88 model?

Thanks. The reason I asked is because DG lists their rear grab bar for the 85-86 model only, which I found strange.

Yep I just double checked at bikebandit.com and the part numbers for the 86 and 88 rear grab bar are the same.

Can anyone identify the orange piece in this picture and tell me if I have it installed correctly in the second picture. I don't see this piece on the blow-up picture on the vault.

The other night (presumably while reading through this thread), I ran across a link to an external website with poly-bushings for the front control arms.

Does anyone know the link to the site that I'm referring too? It wasn't vince's cycles.

Something of note about the grab bars on these bikes. I had a PRM rear grab for mine. It didn't fit right with the DG exhaust. The corner of the grab was in the way of the muffler. It could be stressed out enough with a spacer to work but with vibration, it would probably eventually break the header pipe or the sleeve on the muffler. HOWEVER, the DG grab bar fits perfectly with the DG exhaust. Just food for thought so someone else doesn't do what I did.

Will these bearings work in the '88 lt230s a-arms?

Both Lower A Arm Bearings and Seals Kit Suzuki LT-250S LT250S 1989-1990

If so, which is considered stronger, the needle bearings or the single heim joint style bearing like this:
