Default 85 to 88 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport help.

Alright, for those with TM28's..

5DP39 Needle
250 Main
22.5 Pilot
1.8 air (the one in the airbox side..)
2.5 Slide

Jetted for Stg, 1 cam & 10.2 compression @ 500ft (no pipe)

Feel free to donate me a pipe if you find it works for you. So in all your cases you may need to drop the 250 to a 240(since i have backpressure u'd run rich)\

If something doesnt' sound right, feel free to comment.

You can usually find altitude adjustment charts easily for mikuni

The stock cable doesn't work??? Oh, yeah, now that you mention it I think I remember having trouble there.... I think I used a bicycle cable that goes to the derailer. Its been so long ago, but I'm pretty sure that's what I did. I might have had to file down the end a little to get it to fit in the tube. I remember too I threw away that little neon green/yellow plastic thing that goes on the cable at the carb.

That needle sounds familiar... Isn't that the same one I was thinking was way too lean? I guess to compensate they went from 180 to 250 and 15 to 22.5 jets. Looks like the slide is the same and not sure about the 1.8 air. I wonder how it will all work out....

If you were around here I'd remove the baffles from your stock exhaust for ya. From what I've been reading, sounds like all the aftermarket pipes are too loud. Mine doesn't flow too bad and is not very loud. But the only way to do it is to cut and weld. My only suggestion at this point is to maybe find a pipe that has a forestry approved spark arrestor. That will kill a lot of sound, but also holds back a lot of air. My stock pipe is basically a straight thru pipe with a spark arrestor in it. I doubled the length of the spark arrestor in mine, but it made little improvement.

Glad to see Sudco agrees with me if you decrease backpressure you have to jet down, not up like the common notion seems to be. A brand new 250ex w/o the baffle makes the plug black everytime.

Bicycle cables??? They cheap. Throttle cables are what's expensive. Walmart has cables for a few bucks. I just had a big box full of bike junk is the reason I used one. But even if I didn't I would still probably just make a trip to walmart, lol.
