Randy do you happen to know what our connecting rods stock length is? Here are a couple links and they show 2 different lengths. Hot Rods shows a length of 111.5mm (stock I wonder). Vesrah shows a length of 115.5mm, exactly 4mm longer.</end quote></div>

As far as I know, the stock length is 111.5. I haven't measured it for myself though. Does the vesrah rod also have a 16mm small end?

I found out the cam chains for the 230 are 102 links and the 250 is 104 links. Since the stroke on the 230 and 250 is the same, I'm guessing the rod is longer on the 250. Therefore, a 104 link chain would go with the long rod.

Vesrah's rod is 16mm on the small end. I don't know why the 250 has more links cause the rod length is the same according to Vesrah 115.5mm, other than maybe the sprocket(s) have one more tooth?

No, the 230 is 111.5 and the 250 is 115.5. That's why the extra link. Another one of those improvements suzuki did on the 250 over the 230.

My bud got his 250 for $350. It already has most of the stuff we're trying to do to the 230 as an upgrade, lol. That 250 of his has ZERO compression! You could almost set an empty beer can on the kicker and it would go down. It defies all laws of physics, because the damn thing still runs great. He keeps up with me no problem and I had just about the same size piston as him, only I had way more compression. And my exhaust is modded and I have a bigger carb. If he would put as much loot as we are in his 250, he'd run circles around 400's. The 250 is a real work of art. After 1990, they all went down hill.

For an 1988 LT250 Hot Rods has the center to center length at 128mm, Vesrah has it at 115.5mm center to center. That is a considerable difference.

The LT250s has a stroke of 67mm. The LT4WD 250 has a stroke of 72mm.

My guess is:
230 has the 111.5 rod
250s has the 115.5 rod
2504wd has the 128 rod.

Its confusing as all hell... They have too may different 250's.

The LT250E and EF have a bore n stroke of 72x61.2
The LT4WD, LT-F4wd, LT-F250 is 66x72
The LT-F4WDX is 68.5x76
The LT250S is 68.5x67
The LT230S and LT230E is 66x67

So,,, the 128 rod could go anywhere. And now they have a new 250 out that is probably way different than any of these. But I do know, generally, the longer the stroke, the longer the rod. Plus I know Hot Rods n Hot Cams have their heads up their asses and good luck finding anything out for sure from them. I'd much rather have vesrah's stuff.

Come to think of it, suzuki didn't make a LT250 in 1988. They made a LTF250 and a LT4WD 250.... and of course the 250R. So, just another example of Hot BS. They probably meant 1998.

Nope, not 1998 either.... Still had the LTF250 then. They have the LTZ250 now. And the LTZ250 has a bore n stroke of 66x72. Same as the 4WD.

Ok, that makes more sense. So purchasing Vesrah's connecting rod for an LT230 and a LT250 Cam Chain should do the trick, Then it's just figuring the best method for raising the topend by 4mm.

Are all the holes the same diameter on the 111.5, 115.5 and 128 rods? In other words, is it possible to use a 128 rod in place of a 111.5???
