My friend's 250 looks about like that now. He has bits of plastic scattered all over north GA.

Here's some pics I took over a year ago of the 230 and 250 side-by-side:

nice pics randy, seems like the people with these 250s I found are not willing to negotiate a trade of some sort so that takes me outta the pic since I don't have the pure cash to burn.

Anyone have any pictures of the 250 a-arms just so I can comapre them to the 250R arms. How sweet would it be if they were the same, there's a lot more of them on ebay.

Welcome! A fellow welder... A skill that comes in handy on the 230s!

I welded my swingarm longer, a-arms longer, welded on a chain guide, welded a sprocket guard, and welded a drink carrier. Comes in handy for fabricating things that are hard/impossible/too expensive to find. See at the top of the page for my chain guide weld job.

The swingarm is the weak link on these quads. This page has a lot of good info on that.
The steering stem has been known to break. If yours hasn't been welded yet, maybe you should plan on that.
Other than that, for a stock quad, its pretty solid. But when you get around to the big bore kit, the rod will be the weak link. 2 guys have posted pics on here with holes in the cases from a broken rod.
