You have any pics of your 230 rockout? You should post them to your gallery and the 230S group.

 

i have pics, but trying to figure out how to post in gallery. keeps saying i need to have them posted on another website in order to post here. haven't tried for a while now. i have been super lucky finding quads and dirtbikes. last dec. i had a guy email asking if i was interested in buying his dirt bike. ended up being a 97 kawi kx125 in perfect condition. i gave him 300 for it. he had no idea what it was worth, just wanted room in his garage. he traded a laptop for it to a guy going overseas and he thought he would ride it. he didn;t even know how to start it. i am going to get some pics of the rebuild soon too.

If you're trying to post directly to the group's gallery, I don't think you can. Try posting to your personal gallery and then after you do that, you can look at one of your pics and it will say upload to a social group, then you can select the 230 group.

Also, if you want to post pics directly onto the board here, go to www.tinypic.com and upload your pic, and copy and paste the [IMG] code directly into your reply on here.

 

Not a good deal. I fell for one of those last year. Ad said $800 and when I called the dude said it just caught fire and now it $200. Said it ran good before it burned. So, I drove all the way darn near atlanta to get the thing and it was in worse shape than I thought, but I got it anyway since I drove that far. Yada, yada,,, I finally ended up dragging it down to the barn where it sits today being a home for spiders.

Those are good quads if you get one that runs. They have a superlow range and 15 forward gears. Engine parts are the same as the 230s. Even the piston is the same.

 

Well he said everything works in the ad. I'm just seeing if he wants to trade some stuff. I don't have the cold, hard cash to burn on something like that right now. Just thought if I could trade some of my junk for that piece of junk, it would be pretty darn cool. He hasn't gotten back to me yet, but I can't imagine there are too many interested parties. People in MN only like Polaris and Arctic Cat!

 

Those quads have fuel pumps.... Something else to go wrong I guess, but that's what caused the fire to go out of control. The quad was running and just squirting gas everywhere.

If it runs and he'll trade, you'll definitely like the gears it has. It will pull anything! It will probably out pull the canam you got. Not much good for anything else though. Not a fun machine.... Just a work horse. It won't go fast, not a lot of power, but more like a sherman tank.

 

Well, a fuel pump isn't bad.

It'd be fun just to do some ridiculous mods for it and yeah make it like a tank of sorts. I probably wouldn't even get fenders for it since 1, the fenders are ugly, and 2, it looks pretty sweet without them!

Still nothing from the guy though! I hate waiting for emails!

 

I might buy a $800 one this summer if I can't raise 10k for a thundercat by then. I need something to pull a trailer.

 

$800 should buy you a fairly nice one I would think.

 

At least one that runs and I dont have to work on it.
