Something there is weird. If you have the slide in right, are you sure that the needle dropped into the main jet correctly and isnt binding up? If the idle screw is backed out, and there is slack in the cable, then the slide has to be stuck open somehow.....

well something is holding the slide open.... If it was closed, it couldn't run.

If there was an airjet, it could get air independent of the slide, but then how would it get enough gas thru the pilot to rev so high (assuming the slide is closed)? Slide has to be stuck open somehow.

The problem was the slide hanging up. Its all good now. Next task is to replace the clutch plates and fix my mag cover leak. Dam this is fun!

On a side not, in about 15min, check my garage, I'm putting all my quads on there

There are supposed to be rubber pegs that bolt on overtop of the steel tube... I have a set i can take a picture of if you want. Pulled them off of an 86 Shaft drive that im parting out

That's probably why mine doesn't have them then. That 230 is a shaft driven, so I guess they use plastic pegs instead of metal... Sounds kinda useless to me lol

No offemse, but a lot of things they did on the shaft drive modles sounds useless to me. Like no rear shocks? what the heck?

I'll second that. I dont get why the driveshaft even has a universal joint in it since it dosent have suspension it dosent move.... I was thinking about mounting a shaft drive motor and axle in a 230S fram and making a custom driveshaft for it thatll work with the rear swingarm.

Oh and i never understood the gastank being under the seat next to the rear tire lol
