My quadsport at just off idle runs like crap it back fires bogs sputters chugs and just sucks so bad that i cant ride it cause it anoyes the crap out of me. it starts fine then when it warms up it gets worse, sometimes if i ride it for a long time it will only run at like allmost half throttle any more or less it bogs and pops and has no tourqu. but when it first starts up it will bog untill a little below 1/5 it will bog then when u hit a certain point it runs fine. just befor it started hapanine i had taken the stator cover off and took the stator off to fix the cover where the chain came off. could i have put it on wrong or could the flywheel be dirty so a strong spark wont go thru it or mabey a pinced wire. how can u test to see if a stator is still good? befor i did this it ran perfect.

from what i gather you can test the stator with just a ohm meter... the ranges are in the vault specs page...

so i just turn my tester to ohm and put one end on the brown wire and the other on the purple and see what it says for the power and the same for the pick up coil

Hey I recently bought a 1987 LT230E Quadrunner, i need some pointers. When it's idling, the neutral light and headlight are bright, but they flicker. When i rev the engine, the lights get dim. I have yet to check all the connections and grounds, but does anyone know why this would happen? I would greatly appreciate some feedback

That's backward, it should happen the other way around!

Is the battery staying charged? If the charging system is not working, it would not be putting more juice to the battery at higher RPMs......
