I put a 48 on and have a new 43 that was never put on but either one you need to lose the chain cover.

Which after riding at Hatfield this year and watching the sprocket and brake cover bouncing off rocks made me wonder how long the plastic cover would have lasted anyways</end quote></div>

Where did you find your sprocket? I'm tempted to see if you'll sell me your 43 tooth but after your comment on the chain guard I'm liking the idea of a 48 tooth.

My kids need the oomph. When it's time for more speed we'll just get a bigger machine.

UPDATE:
Okay, got the new Dynatek CDI today. I plugged it in, and WOW. Like night and day. The LTA had previously ran circles around the LTZ.
LTA-50 VS LTZ50:
My 6 year old on his 2003 LTA-50 (all restrictors removed exhaust, intake, and piggy back jet) and my 4 year old on his 2006 LTZ50 (DYNATEK CDI, spacer in the clutch was removed, and I also removed three of the rollers in the clutch, and the end piece out of the tail-pipe.)had a drag race for about 50 yards. The LTA pulled out in front from the start, but at about 35 yards they were side by side, the the LTZ walked by and was about a length ahead at the finish. We did three runs with the same results.

-My six year old wants a 90 real bad now!

The addiction has begun...

I agree the Dynatek was huge. You should take him down to a little track (no jumps) just turns and good clean fun. He will be able to enjoy it alot more, since you are not relying on the top speed the whole time, just to have fun. My 9 year old still loves this thing.

Shouldn't be an issue, as long as they are evenly spaced .

funny you should say that. Never ran this one much since they overhauled it under warranty the first part of November. They pretty much made a new engine out of pieces.
