skinner, interesting thread on the trailer. i'm just curious what the guy thot his insurance company should do after they paid out the limits of the coverage the guy had opted to purchase? pay more? i mean, YOU choose how much coverage ya want, so why blame them when you don't have enough? or expect them to pay more?? would any of us do that, "geez, i feel really bad you didn't buy enough coverage, can i make up the difference for you?" NOT!

wow, manslaughter charges, that's really harsh. he must have been flying way over the limit to warrant a charge like that. i don't think we'd be quite as harsh here in Socialismland for that type of incident. and i find it hard to believe he lost so much considering the US bankruptcy laws protect you against losing it all. they're more protective than here.

Skinner, that's interesting info you posted from the other site. To bad, it takes a tragedy to get peoples attention
On the insurance, you pick how much coverage you want and that's all the insurance company will payout. And, you don't have control, if, they will pay out or not.

Confused, even if you filed for bankruptcy, you can still be held liable to pay. As long as you keep the claim open, your still entitled to anything, they may procur in the future. Just keep the award alive in the court system.

Well, I still have faith in my dealer and bought two 6v batteries from him Now, I need to build a box for the 2 batteries. Anyone have any ideas to make both fit in one? I'm thinking about getting a plastic tool box at wally world and custom fit it to cover both batteries, Plus, maybe house my charger tooto keep it out of the elements at Pismo. I know I can use 2 battery boxes, but, these 6v are too tall to fit in right

Here's what I bought:
Interstate 6 Volt Golf/RV Battery Features and Specifications:
6 Volts
Ah (20hr) = 225
RC (25A) = 447
RV (75A) =115
Size: 10.25" L x 7.12" W x 11.12" H
Wet Weight: 63 lbs
Hibernated Weight: 51 lbs
No of Plates: 57
Cover/Case Color: Gray/White

sounds great on the batts. that link of skinners gave real simple hook up instructions. i put my 6V in battery cases with the lid you hold down with a cheesy nylon strap. the strap goes around the case, lid and metal frame on the trailer ( the frame the batts. sit on). ALSO, I drilled holes in the bottom of the plastic cases to let water drain out. the case lids have breather holes on top, so water gets in, but it's okay if it drains out.

be careful of leaving your trailer plugged into a 110 outlet while batts are hooked up. it will overcharge them and dry out the cells. AND, make sure you occasioanlly check the water level in each cell. you'll be surprised by how much those go down. don't overfill, look at the level now so you know where it should be when it's time to add distilled water.

yes, we did the male species proud on our assessment of *****. we're healthy males, what can we say. and if i was *****, i'd take it as a compliment.

on ins, that's my point. the guys co. paid out his limit of coverage. what more did he expect?

I think MD had already beat us to it. I see that her thread was locked. However, she is fine, fine, fine...
