No, not a pusher, its a front engine 454 but my water, propane and waste tanks all hang out in the back, there is a lot of weight back there. The tires are michelin x, big mothers and brand new.

We always take the 15 North and exit on the 138 (yes the exit to get to Wrightwood), and then once you go up a few miles we make a right on Sheeps Creek road and take that all the way through the town of Phelan until it ends on that road where El Mirage is. I'll have to look on a map now - I'm curious where the 395 is. Anyway, the 138 is definitely the fastest way from Corona anyway. If the 395 were faster for us, I know for a fact my husband would be taking it. From our house, it only takes us 45 minutes to get there.

Yeah that route that you guys take seems like it would be faster...I just have always gone the 395....Ill have to try out that new route. Thanks! Can you explain how to get to that other place again? I exit on the 138 and then go where? I also know of a couple other places to ride on the 395 that are pretty awesome.

As soon as you're on the offramp for the 138 and you're sitting there at the light, just go straight forward onto a dirt road and follow it all the way back until you're under the railroad bridge. That's where everyone parks and unloads. We found that place because on our way to El Mirage we kept seeing trucks going down that road and wondered what the heck was back there. The first time we went there we didn't have a "Forest Pass" so we got a ticket, but it was only for $5 (for the pass). There's trails that go up into some hills (great view!) and then it's wide open and looks like it goes a long way to wherever across (under) the 15 fwy and beyond. I'm not sure exactly how far back it goes, but it looks like a pretty large area.

How about Anza-Borrego? Does anyone ride there or just Glamis, Pismo and El Mirage?
