Hi gang..

Well. It is with great pleasure I get to break this news..

After about 6 months of researching looking at machines and reading the forums here at atv connection. It is with great pleasure [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] I get to tell everyone. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] We now have a new addition to the family. I finally got the guts up and bought me a new wheeler.. I got a 2006 Polaris 500 HO. I am SOOOOOO pumped.

New in the yard.


After pulling a double shift on Saturday we went out Sunday and went riding up at USK. Le clerk crick to be exact. Pulled her off the truck with zero miles and after the day was done she had 32 on her. There was a bit of snow up there. It was so much fun.. 9 guys went ( 6 Polaris atv's, 1 Polaris 6x6, 1 Bomb 400, and 1 Honda)


The film is still in the camera.. Will post them when they are developed.

Viper-Congrats on the new ride. Glad to see you went with a great machine!!! Yellow even thats great. Least you could still see the yellow on yours after your ride. I raced my 600 this weekend and it went from yellow to gray. Took over an hour to clean her. We will definately have to hook up some time for some riding

Rockman--SWEET video man. I would love to come over some time and see how you put that all together. I have the basic concept but NOTHING like what you come up with.

Wish we could meet you at the ORV park but heather is racing sat and sunday. She is so stoked. We both took first in the race last weekend so she is raring to go again.

Viper - Congrats!!! That is soooo cool! Yes we'll still be there. Will be there untill dusk or so.

Yah Viper, welcome to the club!
That's a fine machine you've got yourself, matter of fact we have an '05 Sportsman HO and just love it. I also like riding up north, but I thought the snow would still be too deep, did you just ride on Forest Service roads?

And congratulations Kori and Heather, I guess all those miles riding trying to keep up with me and Sally really paid off for you!!!

Wiz--Yep your right. Riding with you all is what helped us out!!!! It certainly was fun thats for sure.
CDA polaris has a new Outlaw on there show room floor and really considering buying that thing. Just dont have anywhere to store it :-(

Anyway--heather races again this weekend so we will be out at airway heights all weekend!!!!

Akkarw. Thanks. I had a choice of 2 colors. Green or Yellow. I wanted blue but it was gone. For the price I got it for I wasn’t going to gripe [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]. Yellow hides the scratches really well.
And yeah, we will have to hook up sometime for a ride. I do have weekdays off. Wed and Thursday so if anyone wants to go those days let me know. Weekends are a little trickier because of my job. I just need a little notice for Wed and Thursdays , got a 3 yr old. And need time to find a sitter. My daughter thinks my old 86 Kawi 300 is hers now. Can you say “riding buddy” Good luck with the race and tell her to race safe ?


Rockman. Thanks.. Yeah it is SO cool.. The day I got it I couldn’t believe it. It was surreal driving it home in the back of the truck. I will definitely come up there Saturday. Would love to meet some of you guys. If you want to look for me I will probably have on a black helmet, Green Carhart coat and blue Levis depending on what the weather is like. What do you ride?


Ragged: Thanks. That Polaris is a nice machine. No matter what the machine. It is just a kick in the butt to be up playing. And that’s what matters. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] God I am so pumped about this bike…

Wiz: Thanks. We went riding all over. On forest roads and off also. I did take my GPS with me. I don’t have any topo maps for it. Just got the GPS the day before we left. The guy we went with has been riding wheelers for along time and knows that area well. As far as the snow up there, it depended on where we were at. In spots there was 2 ft in spots like 1 ft. I have the route in my GPS but haven’t figured out how to work it yet. I got a Garmin. 60cs.

Hey Kori, iffin’ the only thing that’s holdin’ you back on purchasing that Outlaw is storage, I’ve got room for another 4 wheeler out in the hay shed, you will have to leave me the keys for it in case I have to move it and I’d want you to make an appointment at least a week in advance if you wanted to come use it (need some time to wash the mud off, before you get here), so give me a call once you get it!!

Viper, Wow, a new four wheeler and a new Garmin all in one week, you must be in hog heaven. There’s a bunch of us here that met through Geocaching and combine that with fourwheeling. Once you learn all the capabilities of that GPS you’ll be amazed by all the fun it, combined with the Polaris, will give you. Stay tuned to this board for rides, most of us always welcome new people, so don’t be bashful…….Wiz

 

Thats great Viper. We should be there about 10am. I'll be on a green Suzuki KingQuad and the wife on a yellow Vinson. Not sure what I'll be wearing, could be wet, and it certainly will be muddy. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] So just look for the Green King with the tow rope that says "Hook Polaris here". [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Mark--Last time i checked you havent pulled us home---YET!!! Although we have pulled a vinson home. NO offense Zac!!! Anyway found out today that i cracked one of the rear A-arm guards while racing--ooopss!!!

Brad said i cant race the utility quad anymore so may have to seriously think about an outlaw!!! Just have to figure out more time time to get it back and forth from WIZ's place!!

VIPER--again welcome and sounds like your "riding buddy" will be lots of fun. As wiz said combine your GPS and 4-wheeling with Geocaching and OMG you can have some serious fun.
