Default 87 warrior I did a big boo-boo Help!!

Hello all, I went to change the oil in my new warrior and put a socket on the nut to loosen the oil and was pulling toward me HARD and broke the middle of the nut! I always thought lefty loosey? So all the oil drained, now all I have is the outside of the hex bolt with a screen showing in the middle. I should of bought a manual! Any clue or diagrams of the oil drain plug would be much appreciated, also what is the outside ring around the bolt for?

Thanks-newguy...

mighgt be able to use a center punch and get the rest of the plug out. an for the ring it is used for a o-ring for no oil leakage

How do you usuallly get the oil plug off? Is it spring loaded? Does the bolt come off like a car oil plug?

you gotta remember the bolt is upside down lol so that can fool you with what direction to turn it, theres a spring with a screen that slides into the spring its just to catch metal particles, usually when u pull the plug out you carefully lower it down so you dont drop the spring and screen.

ok, any clue how to get the remaining bolt out? Can you heat it? Remember, I pulled the middle off and the outside of the bolt is in place. Ahh

The outside of the bolt that is still on the engine should have some little fins on it. Like onebigzj said I would try to use a punch or a screwdriver and hammer to tap on those fins to make it spin off. Just make sure that you are taping it in the right direction. "Righty tighty, lefty loosey" but only if your looking directly at the bolt. I don't recommend heating it with all that oil around.
