93 yamaha grizzly neutral and High/Low gears
Hi everyone. i have a 93 grizzly new owner of it and a couple of questions
1. even though i lift the clutch lever by the footpeg does not go into neutral no matter how long i hold it there. any ideas?
2. there is a lever of high/low and reverse. it seems to stay in low no matter if the lever is in high or low.
3. does the clutch lever on the footpeg only make it go into neutral only or are there more gears for the High/Low positions.
First atv guy that sold it to me didn't know much about it just that it belongs to his dad who was a rancher.

There are five forward speeds plus neutral on the foot lever, works like a motorcycle gear lever except it also works the clutch as well, up for up, down for down. You may have to rock the bike backwards and forwards while changing gear by the foot lever unless the engine is running, good idea to put it into neutral before stopping the engine, so it is ready to start next time. About the HI/Lo, Reverse lever, always come to a halt before using it and, on many Yams you have to hold the footbrake down in order to move that lever. You will notice the difference between hi and lo once you are using the foot gearchange properly.
