AllTruckRage,

When you say you have the same quad is it a *Baja* 90cc quad. They have owners manuals online with schematics (wiring diagrams) inside. Check out the following link:

Baja Motorsports | Owner's Manuals | Assembly Instructions

If you need further help just ask.

Are you sure the CDI plugs are 2 pin and 6 pin? I've not seen nor heard of a CDI like that. Acording to the Baja wiring diagram and the Baja web site parts section, the CDI has a 2 pin and a 4 pin connector set. Here is a picture of that CDI:

Name: CDI_Pinout.jpg
Views: 668
Size: 27.7 KB
The classic color scheme for the above pins is:

Ignition Power: Black with Red Stripe
Kill Switch: Black with White Stripe

Ignition Trigger Pulse: Blue with White Stripe
Ignition Coil: Black with Yellow Stripe
Ground: Green

Many, but not all quads follow this color scheme.

If you really do have a 2 pin and 6 pin CDI can you post a picture of it? Also, what are the wire colors for all the wires going to the CDI?
