Default HPD violet+700 belt=blast of fun

i just finally got the hpd violet primary, that is stiff enough
to make sound your scrammy into a cr 250,,engagement is right
at 5000 rpm,no bug into the revving up at all, give the race pipe an
very wide curve,a little belt slip with violet secondary,44-38 helix.
i was a little anxious about that spring before, but the blue spring
just doesn't came close in term of response and power to the wheels.
how many each of you use the viloet primary?
it is not as friendly for trails but give what you want instantly.
so far so good, hails to HPD for such great products again.

Are you using the comet primary??What weights are you using.
Just would like to know because I'm going to be giving my scrammy a run this weekend ad it's bin awhile since I'm played around on it.
After getting a 04 Predator I gave up on tuning the scrammy's Comet Clutch. I shimmed it But never got it Right. It starts of Ok but the top end is Lacking.
Right now I have a silver primary(to low)With 10-56 weights and a Team driven EBS clutch.
I have a HPD violet and scores of weights.
What do you think?

to tell you the truth, remove both clutch comet and team, put back
stock both clutchs,violet primary,44-38 helix.that way only
i can promise a real fun ride, all of this on race mods as well.
clean the stock clutchs and be sure roller are ok,sheaves must
be polish, secondary must work correctly,10" center to center distance.

btw,the comet clutch is a major task to tune,i didn't really find the best spring to keep an acceptable smooth shifting, with race mods it just
doesn't work, but on a stock engine you can tweak it out well, the clutch
shift so fast that an high hp motor will outpowered it.

oh yeah, that violet spring is a must have on race mods,
the thing shred all over the place, got 7800 to 8100 rpm,
i'll load it down to 7500 rpm.i think it is easier to tune the clutch with that stiff spring.

by the way, sand blast your both clutchs,i'll will grip better
and are easy to do cauze they didn't have some fine materials like the sleds does on them, and use kleen-flo grip stuff on your belt.

I think it depends on the surface your riding on. I've run it on silty sand where it's not all that great, then there are times like this weekend where I was running on a moist sand dirt mix where the light blue wasn't cutting it and the violet brought it to life!
