700 sportsman carb model question

Default 700 sportsman carb model question

i found a leftover 700 with carbs for $4999. i've always had jap atv's and never had problems. any you 700 carb owners have any good to say?

I have 2 700's . One is an 03 and one is an 05, both carbs. The only issue for me was a carb boot on the 03. Other than that they run perfect.

it's a leftover 05. does your fuel hold up when riding with jap quads? what size does the 05 have?

Like a plugged jet. would run on choke ok, but as soon as you push the choke in it was like it wanted to die.

Jap fuel mileage is better. I am new to the 700, but I love it too

Speaking of carb questions, can someone eiher PM me or reply here and tell me the theory of operation for this carb. I believe that it is partly vacuum operated. I have no problems with it, I am a tech nerd that loves to know how things work. I need to know what is normal, before I can tell what is abnormal, should I have problems. Thanks
