Default 2004 Polaris Sportsman 700

Hi,
I found a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 700 twin green. They guy is asking 2,600 for it. It has 600 miles on it, he went through the whole ATV and repaired what needed to be repaired.

The reason he said he is selling it so cheap, you can't get it registered in the New York state. I forgot the reason he said. It had to do something with the vin?

I do not have that many trails near my house so I wouldn't really need to register it. But if I ever wanted to I couldn't?

I just called him. He said it was a stolen, and the police recovered it. So the ATV don't have serial numbers. He said he bought it at one of there auctions.

You can't register it then, right?

If he bought it fro ma polic auction he would have got a bill of sale from them and you could register it . I'm not sure what they do for VIN etc but they would have to make it legal for you to drive

Find out where he got it and give them call

So as long as you have the bill of sale, the dmv should be able to recover the rest and register it?

Sounds like are real good deal if it would register up fine....Something with that few miles and such would be around 3500 and up.
