A 2 stroke is more money than its worth after you get everything you need. Here's a price list:
200 for crank, includes shipping to send it out
175 to get top end rebuilt, includes shipping it out
40 for bottom end bearings that might need replacing, 15 for bottom end shifter seals, 25 for sealer for the cases, that's about it. If you do all this, it should last another 25 years, maybe longer, I have a crank just rebuilt, hasn't been used since rebuild ill sell if u want to make an offer

You put the 230 engine into a 160? Can you post some pictures of that? I have a 160 and I don't think I would be comfortable going that fast on it, without doing some work to the suspension.

Thats for the 4-stroke 230. Rebuilt correctly and these things are pretty bullet proof. A 2 stroke you are looking at, an lt250r for example:
Buy engine that needs rebuild $200-$400
Buy crank: $200 for new hot rods
Bottom end seals $30-$50
Bottom end bearings $40
$200 for top end rebuild kit, includes boring
$50-$100 for new transmission parts because there is almost something that goes in that transmission everytime
Buy wiring: $100
Buy carb:$50
Metal to make engine mounts: $25, have to cut and make them yourself
More money than its worth.
