ok, i have been thinkin alot about this and i want an "s" engine so i can have a manual clutch and kick start. i would love to be able to rebuild my engine and convert it to manual clutch and kickstart but i have been told that isnt possible so i dont know what to do. from what i am learning it would be much better to start with a 250s and hop it up but good luck, i couldnt hardly find a single part for a 250s whicj would lead me to believe it is in high demand.

An lt250s is not in high demand. Sellers can barely sell their parts for them. An lt250s is very hard to find. They are rare. So rare, that a lot of people didn't even know they existed. So many people don't have an lt250s, and finding someone parting one out is even harder to find. There is one engine on ebay and its been for sale for about a year. There are tons of engine parts that have been for sale for a couple years. Why? No one has one. Its good for people with them, cause sellers are willing to sell parts cheap. There aren't many performance engine parts for an lt250s either. La sleeve doesn't even sell a sleeve for an lt250s, I called and asked. At the most, an lt250s just needs a quick hone of a cylinder and new rings and occasionally a bore job, they are that good of engines.

so what you are saying is for the same $700 it would be better to purchase a un-remaned lt250s than a reman lt230?

Help me out here. Someone has a LT250S that they are parting out, and I'm looking at the suspension. This is the picture that they've sent me. This looks different then what I was expecting to see.

Particularly the top arm.

There's also what looks like a radiator in the picture?

Sorry man, thats an lt250r quadracer. Don't buy the parts they wont work. Lt250s bottom suspension is different. The bottom balljoint is made into the a-arm.

Is it welded into the arm, so that it's not serviceable?

You can service them. Unless a ball joint breaks or has a ton of play, then its probably not bad. Just take off the seal, clean off the old grease with a papertowel. Add new grease. Put seal back on.

Holy crap have i got lots of readin to do. Been gone awhile. Damn back surgeries suck. Well all I finally got married on March 8th. It's finally official, Trailrider is off the market. The wife wanted a real weddin so she got one. I know i said she was my wife before, but now it's for real. been together 7 years now, always said she was my wife, now she has proof. And i am getting another 230s as a weddin present.

So all you guys hoarding parts, be prepared i am back in the hunt and back to riding. and got some cash to spend.
