Default 85 to 88 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport help.

Yeah I am in the military and I need to become much more familiar with the onbase autohobby shop to see what/who I can utilize.

OMG! I"m unsure what happen but the damn quad goes like a raped date. All I did different from yesterday was take 6 exhaust disc off and kept 6 disc on (per your supertrapp site recommendation as a starting point for an atv 6-8 disc). I'm still with the 210 main jet, airlid on, air screw 2 1/2 turns out. I did have my son with me yesterday when I took it for a test ride so didn't push it to hard but I deffinitely can see the difference especially from half throttle on it is spinning the tires in 5th gear. It feels like it gained 20 mph on the top half ( I'm sure it didn't) but there is a huge difference.

Excellent!!

I could sense your frustration earlier, and believe me, I empathize..
Hoping to be up and running in about 2 weeks, fingers crossed!

gforce, have you moved the needle clip around yet? That's something else to play around with. Maybe for kix put the stock carb's needle in too.

I remember when I first got the 28 carb running right. I had the same 12/41 gears and was pulling up the front end in 5th (my big balloony tires don't spin that easy). I was pretty impressed. The 13/39 took care of the light front end problem though. I'm curious what 13/41 feels like, but too lazy to find out right now.

I have not messed with the needle yet but have been considering it for fine tuning, I don't know about using the stock carb needle because when I look at it from the intake side it seems to have a slight bend to it. I think the gearing change would help with the wheel spin, I spin a lot (20 inch tires).

Yeah, 20 inch tires are a hoot on wet grass, lol. I think 13/39 would work out great with your tires. My tires measure 21.5 inches actual height before they balloon out from spinning so fast. My buddy's 20 inch tires measure an actual 19 inches. That's a big difference.

Well, you can move the needle clip up on the needle and then you can turn your air screw in a turn or 2. Of course, you might need a bigger main jet after that. You can't really go down on the needle because you can't turn the air screw out too much more. You could try it though just to see if the top end wants more gas. Then maybe you could take the air box lid off. Tinkering with the carb will probably turn into a daily hobby for a good whlie. It has around here anyway.
