I realy think the dang dial a jet works for fine tuning once you have it jetted close!
It really seemed to help with the HUGE elevation changes we experience in out rides, start a 1500ft all the way up to 92-9500ft.. might just be my perception as a rider not a mechanic. But I did have seat time on same bike same ride with and with out the jet, and noticed a difference. 2 cents......

Didn't your dad like them too?
The dial a jet tech told me to drill the tube .040 (I think) to get more gas out of it. And you can put a clamp on the tube to shut it totally off.
On a regular carb tuned to run at my house (600-700ft) will run up to 2500-3000ft ok. I can tell a difference though.

I'm hear, kinda, gotta lil natural gas leak b4 my meter and the wife and neighbors are freaking out![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] I sprayed soapy water and it is very minor, but the rotten egg smell has caused a panic! It is in the 30's here, I am the one with the leak, my heater is running, and my neighbors are shuttin there stuff down! Gotta love a good panic![img]i/expressions/devil.gif[/img]

In the 30's? MAN! Its already January. It should be gettin warmer [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] 64 degrees in the deep south today. Had the windows up so the cats could enjoy it with me.
Pushed the 230 out of the shop today. Good to see it still rolls.......

Yesterday I had my daughter pull me around with my wifes 230 no less, on the chassis that I have put together for the billionth time!! Funny though, my ole lady thought it was leaving the garage for good!! Hah! Got another thing coming!
