I've actually seen a few 600Rs under the $2K mark, but the thought of dual carbs terrifies me! I can't even figure out one! Plus I've heard they're tippy, and I get enough of that on my 230.

A 700R would be cool though. EFI and the whole shebang. But they're $3500 or so at the cheapest around here and that's about $1K more than I'd be willing/able to spend.

By the way, which is correct???

willing/able
or
willing / able

Like Randy said, its worth the money if you need it. I wouldn't mind getting one so I could add more discs to my Supertrapp. I would hope adding the discs would lean it out, and the added fuel of the dial-a-jet would help to richen it back to good. They're installation manual says to have your system a little lean before you install it.

If you need convincing, this article will do it:

Thunder Products - Performance carburetor and clutching for snowmobiles, motorcycles and ATVs.

If you wanted, you could also get a new (used) one on eBay for under $20. I got mine for $14.99. Can't beat that deal!

Everyone feel free to put a link in your sig too if you wish! It'll just make it easier for people to get there.

Chances are that one would be brokem/cracked too, and I'd be in the same boat! Mine is stronger than stock now, and I doubt it'll break there again!

I didn't realize the airbox had that much to do with it. I guess today I re-set everything with the 115 jet, and see what happens with the airbox hooked up.

Yeah, no, I'm not saying the engine won't run at all, I'm saying it won't run right. In other words, you can't tune the carb that way.

Heck, I can get a carb to work without a needle too. It will sit there n idle just nicely, but as soon as you touch the throttle, it dies.
