Kenda makes some good, light tires that are fairly priced.

I picked up some Kenda Klaw XC's that are 6-ply and quite light for like $50 a pop if I remember right.

Yeah, It came with kenda's on the back (cant say what kind but they certainly look like a tractor tire). The front is the stock original tires, and maaan, they seen better days. I aint even gonna think about ridin on them. I'll poke around and see what I can find. Best price I found is $75/tire CDN. I'd like to order from I think its Rockymountain, but Im not sure if they ship to canada. They have the exact tire I want for only $30!

Exclamation Carb adjustment?

Hi guys, im new to the forum but not new to the 230s haha.
ive had mine about 4 years, i had one before that but it turned into my parts quad after a hard and hot day on the trail, i was young and ashamed afterwards. anyways i think i finally have it timed right but today i re timed it for literally the 13th time..... finally i got it right i think...but i need to adjust my carb, it almost didnt bump start and its like it isnt getting enough fuel because i can bump it then it will work arround 0-1200 rpm ish area then it boggs alittle catches up bogs some more i just need to adjust the mixture screw towards the front of the carb right?
i just rebuilt the carb, just put new rings in my motor, replaced the base gasket twice...... i HATE oil leaks and anyways after about a tube of black rtv im leak free but the reason i retimed it today was because it seemed a little retarded(timing wise) so i advanced it a tooth but its like the carb was adjusted for the retarded timing and it did fine there well, everywhere but idling. so im just checking that thats all i have to do to get my machine to idle so i can break it in.

Default Doh!

Nevermind, the timing isnt like all of the v8 motors ive worked on because i obviously went the wrong way. all the compression is leaving through the carb. thats why i was loosing power. i have decided to buy a high compression piston and rings while using my cylinder for the rebuild on the motor i trashed previously. looks like im going to keep my 230 longer than i thought so im going to leave it all stock other than what i know how to do. porting and polishing is no issue. can i buy a set of bigger valves?
i have a whole lot of bigger carbs i can use. cam well im pretty sure i can have it reground arround here for not too much thats the only thing i cant do maself. is there anything i missed. because im selling my cr85r soon hopfully to get a grand. but i can use the money from that to build me a decent trail rider. although i wish i had a 125 or 250 dirtbike if any of you know where i can pick one up for cheap running or not is never a problem at my house.

1986LT230S: I ended up burning my rings out on my 230. and i read in your post you re-timed your 230. i have no idea how to re-time it now that i have it ripped apart. if you or someone else can help me out with how to time it i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
