damn, i wouldnt have thought theyd wear down like that. i may pull it in the shop and yank the cam and check that out.

ok for sure the cam then. if i go with a big kn, ill need to fab some new box up. ill have to go poke around the filter section or something on that one. if i could find a 250 engine, id be so happy. no bs on this: how low are the chances on finding a decent 250s engine?

edit:
trailrider: let me know about your 230 if you part it. lol, i could buy half my stuff right off you.

They made em in 89 and 90... and 90 was a recession year, so I dont know how many are out there. Honda had already cornered the market by consistently beating the 230 and mojave in all the dirtwheels shootouts, so most of the marketshare went to honda. By the time suzuki finally got the 250s to market, it was too late, The honda had 4 valve heads, 246cc... it was definitely the one to get.

like what do you need? and if i do choose to part it out, most of the parts will be $5- $10 cheaper than market price. i got it listed in the ohio craigslist for $900 even though i got about $1200 in it. just waiting to see if it will get any attention or bids.

Where are you located? There is a guy here with a full 1990 250s that just needs swing arm bearing, the back plastic is cracked, and a carb cleaning. He wants $450. I don't have the money right now, but if your located near detroit, he still has it and you could probably get him down to like $400 at least since hes been trying to sell it for like 9 months.

well if you wanted the cam you would probly have to buy the whole engine. and i might let the whole engine go for aroun $300 perfectly running too. the bumper maybe $70. and what pipe do you want? the RCM or stock? the RCM i would probly give away, it needs repacked and a new power core put in it. my plastics are still pretty new also.
