You know after that case, the 2 dda's were without a job at the da's office, imagine that
well, Ito did a horrible job of controlling the circus (especially compared to how well the civil trial judge kept the reigns on). and as for losing their jobs, Marcia Bad-Hairdo became instantly rich on the lecture circuit, so it seems like it was a blessing for her.
Yes, for awhile there, she did do alright on the lecture circuit. I think Ito was voted off the bench.

Confused, actually I know very little how your L.E. really works up there. I always thought Canada as liberals who restricted the hands of L.E. Someday, I would like to visit the Great White North (even though we had more snow in Ca. this past winter) Go ride with you and the family and ride out with the L.E. up there To get a better understanding
Whoa! don't police WORLDWIDE consider their hands tied in fighting crime??and why do you think i was hacking on ya earlier about the police code of silence/conspiracy when it comes to their own?? ours have had some really black eye incidents come to light lately. But anyways, back to crime in Canada, it's sad to say, but POS and drug addicts, murderers, etc... really aren't much different worldwide. Have you heard of Robert Pickton? He's our current "prize". Accused of murdering 30+ prostitutes and street people/drug addicts, etc. He was a pig farmer. They're still digging up his land and finding remains, and adding to the list of charges. We've spent millions on this case. Why don't people like this just plead guilty???? The evidence is beyond over-whelming. and the $$ and resources being wasted now ...UGH!

as for socialist panzies, that's what ya get labelled as when you have no death penalty. yet I'll betcha more people here would rather have it if the crime meets the standard (child killer, cop killer, etc..). But then, seeing how long it takes to finally fry them, and the $$ wasted trying to keep 'em alive with ALL those ridiculous levels of appeals, sometimes i wonder if it's worth it. there's just certain POS that should be automatic deep-fry, like Dahmer, the loony from Stockton 20+ years ago, Bundy, etc..
Yes, I guess it is a worldwide problem I vaguely remember hearing something about Pickton. It be a lot of money and wasted years of appeals But, when they actually fry one It feels good Especially when all the others on death row, no it will be their turn someday

When your referring to Stockton? is that Stockton, Ca. and the Purdy case?? Where the ****** opened up on the kids at the school

Let's see how long it takes b&rw to come visit us He probably checked out the last posts in the Spin Zone
Been out all night until about 10. Met with some of my bro's friends who are into the AirSoft thing
What is AirsSoft? Some kind of paint ball
They are either manual spring powered, Green Gas (it's evidentally the stuff they use in the computer air can dusters) or an AEG which is an Automatic Electric Gun. Has a spring, gears and motor. My bro's gun he just picked up is a G36C replica AEG. Mag holds like 400+ rounds. It's the new paintball thing. Supposed to use more tactics. Really popular with SWAT guys.

Most stock AEGs (generally assault (G36s, M4s, MP5s) and rifle (G3s, M16s and AK-47s) shoot about 300 feet per second. Get up into the sniper rifles and you easily *** 100 fps stock. They have OPs all over the place. Once a month they hold one at Fort Ord in the old base housing area. Limit there is 400 FPS, with snipers limited to 500 FPS with a greater min. distance after a test. One guy in Fresno had a sniper set up to 650 FPS. Then can actually become embedded in the skin at that speed.

It is supposed to involve more tactics than just shooting each other. Whis is what some people are into. Some people are literally out there to HURT people, because they can.

Plastic Pellets.

And yeah, they hurt. Or so ive heard.
Yeah they do. Especially at 400FPS or higher. Skin embedding and piercing is possible over 500FPS, esp. at close range.

Yea, the blood and glove were all part of the framing from LAPD. It worked, hey let the real killer oof Look at how hard OJ is trying to find the real killer From the 14 th hole on the back side

Anyways, for us to do that manuever, you need supervisor approval speeds have to be below 25 mph and it has to be at a intersection while the suspect is turning. So, needless to say, we don't do them. Stop Stixs are easier and don't need approval to use them I can't say what CHP's policy is.

Like I said earlier, in a homicide case circumstantial evidence is a lot of your case. Sometimes, you need to forgo your "not so upstanding gentleman of society" And let the evidence support itself. My GOD, IIRC, he owned a 9mm that was now missing/unaccounted for and they couldn't find the gun she was shot with I tell ya, if you want to kill someone, go down south. I don't know what is up with the Da's office down there
so, was OJ's blood "planted" at the scene, or the Bronco?

re: "the manouever" (sounds like a Seinfeld episode) , and giving up chase, etc..., Whatever happened to the old saying, "ya can't outrun a Motorola" ?

the whole police chase thing really riles me. their job is to catch bad guys, so they're really doing what they're trained to do. and if it becomes known that police policy is to not pursue, you encourage the POS to initiate a pursuit. BUT; the tragedy is someone innocent is often killed during pursuit, often the officer. so if the POS is caught, he might face 1-2 years served (max). was the innocent citizen's or cop's life worth such a trivial penalty? the courts need to take this type of crime WAY more seriously. to me, it's all about INTENT, and what could have happened. the only thing separating murder from attempted murder is luck. the POS' intent is exactly the same in either cae; to murder. in a chase, you could kill someone, and the only thing saving you was luck. you put people's lives at risk (altho i'm sure it's not quite the same as intending to murder someone, but it's not very far behind, cuz what do you think will happen when you act that recklessly?). much stiffer penalty needed.

yep, Blake, duh... how could i forget?
That's always the big thing. THe local PD only will chase for Felonies. Misd. they'll just let you go. And they will let some of the felony suspects run if it isn't severe. CHP will chase at much lower levels.

And they do need to increase the penalties.

wow, you post-hos, yer sure making it long read to get to the reply spot!

MD, movie was Armageddon. But it also reminds me of the one with Morgan Freeman as USA Prez, Tea Leoni is the media chick who makes her career out of breaking the story. Essentially, asteroid headed to earth that's gonna wipe out mankind. It was a very good movie. so i wonder what they're not telling us?? I mean, why blow up a comet that's going to be 80mil miles away?? maybe they don't want mass hysteria? and i thought a comet was mostly loosely gathered ice particles and dust, not really a big solid mass like an asteriod. but i can't remember that stuff for sure.....it's been 30 years since i had an interest in it.

Mounties??? ya mean like the Royal Canadian Mounted Police?? now there's a variety of cool uniforms! the red serge, the Sam Brown, musical ride uni with the puffed out thighs.

HEY, my pal just traded in his Lightning for a Lincoln pick-up truck. they're so new up here, i still haven't seen one yet. but he sent me some links and they look pretty cool.
I like the Freeman - Leono movie as well. She thinks she's got the low-down on an affair...but it's an asteroid heading for the eart.

The truck is the Lincoln Blackwood here. All black with a feux wood decal on the side.

Yea, guess we should cut down on the quotes
Oh so we shouldn't post so much? Or just stop quoting so nobody has any clue what we are talking about?
