i finally got the time to get the motor back together. been hecktick as all heck around here. i am trying to go back to work, but they are giving me a hard time. now the union is involved and the b*&ch in hr is going to get fired. this is her third complaint filed against her in the last month. anyways, she sounds great. still trying to set the carb. i took her down the rode for a quick spin. runs great. i tried to take it easy until i get it broken in, but i just cracked it a little bit and the front end came off the ground. wasn't even trying to pop a wheelie, it just came right up. only problems i have is it doesn't want to idle on its own. keeps reving up, but after i fiddle with the carb slide screw, it will idle down. give it a little gas, and again, high idle(revs up). it will come back down, but takes it awhile. makes me think the slide is sticking, but everything is new in the carb. i cleaned the slide and bore thoroughly too. or else the spring is weak. dunno, but man, i am so happy with how it turned out. can't wait to get it broke in and then see what she can really do.

I pulled off the upper shock mount bolts from my front suspension job for a better inspection yesterday, and I didn't see any bending at all. So that's nice. I'll be taking it riding this weekend so we'll see how it holds up then.
You can really tell the difference with that 39 tooth sprocket vs the 41. I'm glad I left the 12 on the front, that would have been a little too high. I'm curious to see how it feels this weekend.
When I pulled the bolts off, I used the floor jack to see how high I want to move the shock mount up to, and it looks like I'll be moving it up about 1-1.5". After moving it up though, it still had a noticeable, albeit less, amount of positive camber. Must be something with the geometry of the 250S arms.
