Looks like she'll be there until Tuesday

We didn't get much rain only .07"s. However, it was windy as heck, had a branch fall on my PSD has I was going down the road today fortunately all it did was leaving marks on the windowshield. Did scare the crap out of us, though.
Well that's good, but bad I guess. I hope she gets well soon.

I had a near miss earlier. Went out to see a movie (BTW, don't go see Syriana...I'm not really sure WTF its supposed to be about...) and about hydroplaned at about 45. Felt like the truck moved over, so maybe I did.

Hanford NEXRAD barely reaches up to you and it looks like it's just missing you to the south. Plus at their max range (120nm) I think they are probably not all that accurate. This band looks to reach almost to Bakersfield. Maybe up towards Delano now. Almost a hard edge with yellow just to about the edge. Weird.

I think it's blasting the WHOLE We(s)t Coast, cuz we've had some wicked winds, and also some pockets of hard rain, then drizzle, clear, more rain.

went for a good family ride today at herrling island. it was REALLY muddy and rutty. the guys from Washington State Adventure Quads (WAQ) were camped there. we had a group of 40+ quads=too many.

well, going to see the USA play the Czechs tomorrow. Really cheering for USA, as I despise eastern-Euro teams. I sure hope the anti US-Hockey team crowds cheer for the Americans. I know they cheer against them generally cuz they're in our pool, and are our biggest opponent, but tomorrow's game has no impact on Canada since we won our pool, and we will play the semi-finals against the winner. This would give our fans a chance to show they have more class than they've been showing. We really should have a common dislike for the eastern-Euro teams. But who knows.... I've been really disappointed in my countrymen's behaviour so far. Altho, the US defenceman threw a blind-side elbow into the head of a Canadian player AFTER we had scored in the dying seconds and the game result was no longer in question. Looked like he concussed him, so there could be some left-over crowd hating from that. It was a real cheapshot, for any hockey player.

MD, hope the youngster makes out well. i know it doesn't help with your wife being a nurse, cuz they always start thinking ahead, and thinking bad things, from what they've experienced on the job. at least that's been my experience with friends who have nurses in the family, when their kids are ill. hope i'm wrong. And i have a good feeling everything will be fine.

We totalled up .95" yesterday in 12 hours. And we've gotten .62" in 4 hours this morning. We've got a Wind Warning up until about 10a, IIRC. 30MPH with gusts to 50. THAT should be interesting.

I think flood control is rated at 1"/day for 3 days. But tomorrow, errr today, is the last day of this, supposedly. Maybe through about noon.

Just got home so a plumber can fix a leak in the master bath Daughter had a bad night, got a call at 4am saying her I.V. ripped out in her sleep Went in to help hold her for the new one It's possible her appendix might have a tear We're waiting for a specialist to view her ultra sound.

I looked at the latest radar, we are in the middle of yellow with a red area on the north side of town, where I live My pool says it needs to be drained again Right now, it looks like Merced, Tulare and Northern Fresno county are sitting in a pretty good red area.
